Community Floors are a great option to have an entire floor for yourself or share it with like-minded communities. The entire floor is about 4,000 sqft big, and there are different floor layouts. If you finally want to move your online community to a physical space and want to have (nearly) complete freedom of how to govern and decorate your place this might be the right thing for you. Requirements: Be involved in one of our 8 frontier themes (AI, Crypto, Bio, Neuro, Arts& Music, Hardtech& Robotics, Human Coordination, Longevity), be value-aligned, and have at least 80 humans who pledge their primary affiliation with your community. If you are not at 80 members yet, we can tell you about options on how to grow into it. Cost: $0! Actually, you get money from us! 20% of all revenue is going straight back to you

You’ve decided on a whole community floor and want to pull the trigger. But what are the next steps:

  1. Talk to your community - How many people are willing to pay a monthly subscription of around $150-$190/month in return for a community space in the tower? Do you have at least 20 interested people?
  2. Write down the vision - Do you have a vision of what your community wants to do with the space? Write it down and discuss it with your community.
  3. Establish a selection process - You will have great autonomy about who will be able to access your community and, therefore also the entire tower! This is a big responsibility. Make sure to conform with the overall values of the tower. Selection is important to foster a strong community.
  4. Get your community pre-approved - Submit your vision and selection process to [email protected] and get pre-approved
  5. Become a member yourself - Only members are allowed to launch communities, make sure to fill out the application form https://onfjkjvxb5x.typeform.com/to/uIDTS9Y4. Ping [email protected] to prioritize your application and sign up as a member at berlinhouse.com
  6. Review the community floor terms and countersign them - We have some important things which are crucial to remember and agree on. Please sign it and return it back to us.
  7. Get your community signed up - You will get a personalized Stripe link and we will provide you with access to the metrics. As soon as you hit 20 members, you get a part of the floor sharing the floor with other communities of the same field. When you reach 80 you get the entire floor. But you are not alone in finding members.
  8. We help you to sign up people - When people sign up to the Tower through the main channel, we will ask them to decide on a primary affiliation to a community. When they choose yours, they will count towards your member score!
  9. Reinvest revenue share - From all the member revenue we collect who pledge their primary affiliation with your community, you get 20% of a revenue share. That’s about 38$ per month per member. You can hire a community manager, buy furniture and food, or do whatever you want to do with it.
  10. Grow - Most floors have been approved for 66 humans sitting at a chair at a desk. As not everybody is showing up every day, overbooking by 5x (wework style) to 10x (3rd space - the commons style) is common. The goal is to hit 300 but keep at least 80 members minimum.
